A major indistrial cooling manufacturer contracted MMTPS to plan and execute the export of nine large cooling fans destined for a new data center in Ireland. These fans were critical components for the data center's operations, requiring precise planning and specialized handling. The project involved a total of 27 crates, with nine of them measuring up to 150”x90”x96”. Managing the design and building of these oversized crates, while adhering to international shipping regulations, posed a significant challenge.
Objective:Design and implement a comprehensive packaging plan that ensured the safe and efficient transport of the cooling fans to Ireland, meeting the project’s timeline and compliance standards.
MMTPS Solution
1. Project Assessment and Planning:
MMTPS Conducted a thorough assessment of the cooling fans and their specific shipping requirements and collaberated with the customer to develop a tailored export plan, considering the size and weight of the crates and the destination’s import regulations.
2.Custom Crating Design:MMTPS designed and manufactured 27 custom crates to safely house and transport the fans. Incorporated reinforced materials and cushioning systems to protect the large 150”x90”x96” crates from damage during handling and transit.
3.Testing and Implementation: MMTPS arranged for specialized equipment and transport services capable of managing the oversized crates, and with international shipping partners to ensure compliance with ISPM-15 Wood standards. 4. Onsite Execution and Oversight:MMTPS supervised the unloading, crating, loading, and securing of the fans for packaging. MMTPS monitored the entire process, from unloading, crating, to loading and securing.
Outcome
MMTPS successfully designed and crated all nine cooling fans for export to Ireland.
